A friend and I went canoeing on the watery paths of the Everglades, looking at clouds and birds. We were caretul to note our path as the trails looked simliar amongst the mangrove islands. We came to a lake area and carefully looked at where we came so we could return on the same path. Our day stopped at a chickee, an elevated platform over water and land built for camping, where we enjoyed our lunch. The day was very peaceful and one felt there was no civilization beyond the horizon.
