A group of researchers in Massachusetts informed Erie in July that they dont consider the citys residents to be a happy lot. Using census figures, financial data and surveys by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the private, nonpartisan National Bureau of Economic Research ranked Erie as one of the unhappiest regions in the country, happier only than those residents of Scranton and St. Joseph, Mo. Researchers ranked Charlottesville, Va., as the happiest place. BAM! Ive been saying it for years now! its not that Erie sucks, its everyones attitude that makes it suck.
