A highlight spanning the career of the Former Ufc Middleweight Champion Anderson The Spider Silva, beginning with his 4th pro bout onward. Had to post this, as it showcased something I hadnt seen prior (kind of crazy given how high profile Anderson is and my MMA addiction typically having me watch all fights of any fighter I like a lot). In the 3rd bout of this video against Tetsuji Kato (1:00 in), Anderson is working from the bottom looking to set up a triangle while also pressing Katos head up to open up his face for shots. Anderson tags him a fair bit of times quite hard. Referee looks to be warning one of them (Yellow Card?) and decides it to be a good time to jot it down so he doesnt forget. Its during this time that Kato falls face first into Andersons chest. Anderson immediately picks Katos head up, sees he is out of it, and goes into super compassion mode, making sure his opponent is ok, saying to hell with the fight as Katos corner begins to come in. Notice the ref is still writing on his notepad and doesnt even notice what is going on as 3 men help Kato to his feet (Anderson being one of them). Dude refd his own fight. GOAT = Confirmed. You can see him do this again later in this video in a more well known fight against a named MMA fighter in Hayato Sakurai.
