A lesson from Mateah: On the surface this video is heartwarming and makes me smile! My girls:) But as I re watched this recording my heart started to see something much more than just heartwarming. I started to see a parallel with life and this unexpected journey we find ourselves on. Life is hard (not too hard with Him) But hard nonetheless. You can see Mateah smiling and laughing and playing with Asyiah and its amazingly beautiful but you also see what Rett brings. It brings uncontrollable movement. It has stolen her voice. Shes not able to move around very well on her own ect....and yet.....she smiles! Despite the havoc and abnormal firing that happens within her body everyday she is laughing and playing! Its Joy! She has joy and her light shines through the darkness Rett syndrome brings. How does this relate to life? Well, We all have storms in our lives. Tribulations come. Heartache. Darkness...we live in a fallen world. But we have a choice. Do we let the darkness consume?? Meaning let our light diminish. Layering and covering it with negativity, despair, hopelessness??? Or.....do we let our light do what it was CREATED to do to radiate out of us so that to OVERCOME those situations in our life that are less than ideal?? Light ALwAYS overcomes darkness!! It is a physical impossibility for it not to. Mateahs light IS shining.......is mine.... Is yours??? Just food for thought....it got me thinking Here is learning to DANCE in the rain..
