A little upset right now. We in the media world have a job and a ***Responsibility*** to report the news and get reaction from the public. It was a simple poll and its not like Im the only person who has covered the story. I kept it neural to allow you to voice your opinion. You, me, anyone has the right to ask these questions regarding Tony Stewart. The small percentage of people asking me to remove it are forgetting freedom or speech and freedom of the facts. And if those people have a problem with my poll - thats all it was - a simple poll, then they should just Google Tony Stewart. Youll find way worse headlines than the way I handled it. Go to any local TV stations website and click on any story. Below is a section for comments. No different from my poll. Ill repeat that. Its no different. Ive said this before and I will say it again. The news isnt always pretty, but our rights allow us to report and interact with the public to get their reaction. I control whats on my FB page. Bowing down to a couple of requests is not something anyone should do. Its their page. Tony has made a statement. Thanks to everyone who participated in the poll. Sorry if I upset anyone... but I stand by my original poll. The people who complained acted like I was convicting the guy online. I wasnt. I just wanted to see how the accident affected you - and what you think should be done, if anything. But I do appreciate the advice. Any other station or media outlet would not have listened to your complaints on the matter. I know from working in TV for 15 years. Its going to be on the news everywhere (the legal part of it) for months anyway.
