A man will appear in court today charged with murdering his partner at Tabulam, in the state’s north. Just after 2am yesterday (Friday 6 June 2014), emergency services were called to a residence on Gundingbo Avenue, Tabulam. Police and ambulance paramedics assisted a 32-year-old woman found unconscious on the bedroom floor. However, the woman died at the scene. A 31-year-old man, the woman’s partner, was arrested at the residence and taken to Lismore Police Station. He was charged with murder, two counts of common assault and possessing a prohibited drug. The man was refused bail to appear in Lismore Local Court today (Saturday 7 June 2014). Police from Richmond Local Area Command are continuing their investigation into this incident, and urging anyone with information that may assist them to come forward.
