A message from DESERT WIND MIDDLE SCHOOL Good evening. A recent message was found in a boys’ bathroom at Desert Wind Middle School that may imply a bomb threat for May 1st at the school site. The threat is being taken very seriously and District officials are in contact with the Maricopa Police regarding the incident. Precautionary steps have begun and we are encouraging parents to please send your children to school on Thursday May 1st. As a result of this threat backpacks will not be permitted on the school premises. We are encouraging parents to speak to your children tonight and contact Maricopa Police immediately if you obtain any information. The District is committed to student safety and we will take every necessary precaution to ensure every child is safe on our campuses. This e-mail has been sent to you by DESERT WIND MIDDLE SCHOOL. To maximize their communication with you, you may be receiving this e-mail in addition to a phone call with the same message.
