A message from Jazzy the guide dog: Jazzy here, On September 7th, I will be walking / trotting with John & Marcus Paul, host of Canberra Live on 2CC. We are participating in The Canberra Times Fun Run; we have entered in to the 5km category. Guide Dogs NSW / ACT have been very supportive of me in all of the training I have received over the past year. I have learnt a lot; firstly from my puppy raiser Kerrie, she had me from when I was only 8 weeks old!! She taught me: how to be obedient and how to play and be social with my fellow guide dogs. Secondly my Guide Dog Instructor Dianne Craig who taught me a whole lot of cool stuff in a very short period of time, like how to guide John around obstacles and get him to the gym!! Finally my new master John, who I adore!!!! I love the big back yard he got for me, lots of room to run and run and play!! It costs over $30,000 to train a Guide Dog like me. I graduated in early April this year and I am now living in my new home with John. So now it is time for us to give back to Guide Dogs NSW / ACT.
