A mix of classic cars and unique artwork will combine for a new event in The Levee District – Cars ‘n Art, a classic car cruise-in and vintage art fair on Sept. 21. Hundreds of classic cars will be on display in The Levee District, East Peoria’s new downtown area, from 3 until 7 p.m. The art fair will be located on the pedestrian promenade from noon until 7 p.m. Public parking will be available in The Levee District parking lots. The cruise-in is open to classic car owners. There is no entry fee. Approximately 30 Central Illinois-based artists will be present. Mediums include ceramics, fiber, jewelry, glass, metal, mixed media, painting, drawing, photography, printmaking, sculpture, furniture and wooden art. All artwork is original, created by the exhibiting artists and available for purchase. Food will be available at The Levee District restaurants during the cruise-in and art fair.
