A nation’s greatest resource is its HUMAN RESOURCE not mineral resource. Dubai which we all want to visit is a desert region, but happens to be the number 1 tourist destination in the world…Israel’s soil is as hard as rock, but they happen to be one of the best in Agriculture in the world….. Let’s come back to Nigeria – the Niger Delta is a region blessed with abundant oil resources. Unfortunately, lack of good leadership has resulted in the region playing host to kidnappings of Nigerians and foreigners, militancy, crude oil theft, pipeline vandalism etc. Lagos state on the other hand does not produce oil but generates the highest IGR (Internally Generated Revenue) in the country…Kwara State is home to Universities, polytechnics, colleges of education etc. Kwara State has produced eminent scholars and professionals in all works of life. As they say, “the journey of a thousand miles begins with a step”. Kwarans, let us come together and think collectively. If we do not do it ourselves, no one will do it for us. We have the potential, resources and determination to make a difference. May Allah bless Kwara, Kwarans and Nigeria as a whole.
