A new year means new opportunities for United Way and many of our partners. Through the collaborative effort of 20+ organizations, including UW, Higher Ground, TUSD, La Frontera, JTED, TYD, Tucson Urban League, and more, the first re-engagement center in Tucson (Youth on the Rise) is being designed to create a clear pathway for Tucsons youth who have dropped out of school. Jansen Azarias, Executive Director of Higher Ground a Resource Center, shared his experience attending the Aspen Institute with United Way, discussing the work that is happening and the collective impact approach:
