A note about home checks: Please dont fret about home checks. A lot of folks worry about home checks, and they apologize for a house being messy. Yall gotta understand: If you are dealing with a rescuer, chance are VERY VERY GOOD that they have a messy house and that they are not necessarily uptight and super-tidy people. Many of us have dogs in and out of the shelter in our homes, and while we try, tidiness is an elusive goal when you are dealing with needy animals and the million things we have to do. Your little needlework on the table that you forgot to tidy up? Im not even seeing it. Andy and I dust every 5 years whether we need to do or not. (We have extensively debated whether dust is a verb or a noun, and we have defaulted to the latter). When we visit you, we are looking primarily at balconies, pools, and fencing. I am rescuer; by my nature I love imperfect things, and chances are, Ill love your home, too, even if its not particularly fancy or tidy or done up.
