A popular childhood staple is about to be a thing of the past in public schools across the country. Connecticut lawmakers just passed legislation that bans chocolate milk in the state’s cafeterias. The bill was passed in response to Michelle Obama’s federal standards for healthy lunches. Those who supported the ban said chocolate milk isn’t suitable for children because of high levels of sodium, although the American Heart Association disagrees. I say let Michelle regulate what Congress is allowed to eat and drink and KEEP HER OUT OF OUR SCHOOL CAFETERIAS.
