A senior Fijian referee has been dropped from the OFC Champions League match officials panel after failing the fitness test yesterday. According to a reliable source, referee Andrew Achari failed to meet the required level of fitness for match officials and was axed from the panel. He has been replaced by Ba schoolteacher Ravitesh Behari who gets his big break and will officiate in his first OFC Champs League which gets underway today with two matches at Govind Park. Apart from Behari, Labasa referee Salesh Chand and Nadis Ravinesh Kumar are the other Fijian match officials selected in the panel while Fiji FA referees director Paresh Kishore has been appointed as a match assessor for the Group Stage competition. In the first match at 1pm, 2010 champs Hekari will face Tefana of Vanuatu while Fijian giants Ba will take on AS Magenta of New Caledonia in the second match at 4pm.
