A short post to relate my relationship with my computer and/or Facebook. I spent a couple of hours writing about the rest of my trip to Winnemucca with Dad. Once I wrapped that up, I clicked on the POST button at the bottom. The print went from black to gray, as usual. And I waited, and I waited, and I waited. Anyone familiar with my particular sense of patience wouldnt have needed to see the smoke coming out from under my cap to know I was unhappy. I could see it wasnt going to post. I minimized it and made sure I was still hooked up to the internet. I was. I went back and it still hadnt posted. Not knowing how I could save all that writing and not have to think it up and arrange it again, I came upon an idea. I got out my old fashioned camera. I took a couple of pictures of the page. I downloaded that into my Picassa 3 pictures file. I checked it out and its there. Its sideways, with a glare spot in the center from the flash, but its there. Now all I have to do is print it out when I get to the shop tomorrow, and then I can type it in again from another computer. Then Ill see if THAT will post. There might be an easier way, but that works for me. Infernal machines, anyway.
