A six month old Palestinian baby boy lost consciousness and stopped breathing while traveling w/ his family on Saturday. He was at the Allenby Border Crossing between Israel and Jordan. The family had planned a trip to Jordan Israeli paramedics from the MDA (Magen David Adom-Israeli EMTs) who were in the area quickly began resuscitating the little boy. A back up crew then came to help. The Israeli Air Force sent in a helicopter to airlift the little fellow to a nearby university medical center, where he is listed in serious but stable condition. Thankfully, the Israeli military spared no expense in seeing that a needy child receive immediate medical attention. Such is life in Israel, where the much maligned Jews illustrated again that they value every human life. Sadly, their efforts are often not reported or appreciated. No doubt there is a Palestinian mother who is thankful for their efforts today.
