A story for you. There was a momma and a daddy that work hard - TopicsExpress

A story for you. There was a momma and a daddy that work hard to teach their children that knowledge is important. That the ability to learn all methods of doing things should be valued. That there is no right way or wrong way; just the way that people like to do thing on their own little homestead. One day the little child came home from playing at a friends farm, really frustrated, confused, and angry. You see, the farmer was telling all the children what he was doing to treat a situation on his farm. The little child wanted to be a part of the conversation and added what her parents do on their little farm. The farmer then spoke to her, without looking at her directly and said that what was happening on her farmstead was wrong. That everything her parents told her was incorrect, and that his way was the best way. She read that his tone was not one of teaching, but one of things she didnt understand; meanness, jealousy, insecurity, the desire to be right or to be better than someone else. As she was telling her parent what happen, there was a light that went on in the little girls eye. She realized that harsh reality of things. There are people out there that CANT communicate, not that they dont want to, simply that they CANT. They CANT look someone in the eye to talk. They CANT reach out and ask why. They CANT admit they dont understand different ways. They opt to hide behind rudeness, written words, passive aggressiveness before engaging and simply asking WHY. They then gather friends, that also cant ask why. The world that should be commutative turns into shunning and banning of others. What her parents CAN see is that they are leaving the life they live to their children. That leading by example is the only way to truly be successful. Errors will be made, we are only human. But the key to being a good person is to NEVER pass judgment onto another without asking WHY. People who wish to be good people, good Christian, good parents, good friends, good acquaintances ask why. People should be able to listen without judgment, and move on from each other. Whether they will be friends is left between them. You see, you can wear the titled of being really good in your field. But if your cant be happy with yourself & the things you accomplish, then honestly you are really not good in what you do. That it has become a popularity contest vs. helping others get to where you are life. We cant leave the world to our children if we dont teach them to communicate with others. We cant have pages, website, or blogs if we dont ask why. People see through it, if not now, they will soon. The drive to be bigger, better, the best consumes some. They lose sight of why they started the journey. Now, you can be bigger, better, the best...but getting their organically is natural. Asking for things while getting there is not organic. So, on our farmstead we opt to teach our children to live and organic life. A life of honesty, looking someone in the eye to talk, to never be passive aggressive, to never involve others to tear down another. And to NEVER pass judgment on someone if we do not know first hand what is going on. We opt to teach our children about living a fully organic life; inside & out.
