A thought that I briefly touched on in Service Wednesday Evening. ~ One need not continually tell others that theyre Full of The Holy Ghost/Holy Spirit. If others know the Bible, then theyll know what to look for and will be able to discern whether or not that be the case. The Bible reads: But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control... Therefore if one is truly full of the Holy Ghost, they wont need to tell others about it in an effort to convince them because theyll be bearing the Fruit of the Spirit in their life and it will be plainly evident to others around. If we want to know how Full if Gods Spirit we are, we need to get brutally honest with ourselves and examine the fruit that were bearing from day to day. If we see dishonesty, back-biting, gossip, lying, self-centeredness, pride, etc., the it matters not how loud or often we proclaim to be Holy Spirit Filled, the Fruit were bearing is clear evidence to the contrary! If I were to walk through an Apple Orchard, mesmerized by the beauty and aroma of all the beautiful plump red apples on the trees, no one would have to put a sign in front of each tree proclaiming that its an Apple Tree. Each one of those Red Apples would be the true evidence. By the same token, if while in that same Apple Orchard, I came across one tree that had a sign attached to it reading, Apple Tree yet as I begin examining its fruit I see Pecans bursting forth from its limbs, then Id have to determine that the owner of that Tree was being deceptive in trying to convince me that it was something that it wasnt. I want to examine my own heart and life because the fruit that I bear is evidence of the heart within. The Bible says that out if the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. Therefore, whats truly inside of each of us will be evidenced in our fruit regardless of how we may try to hide it and proclaim something else. Psalm 58:10, Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me. May The Lord bless and keep each of you. Just Thinking Out Loud, Pastor Robbie
