A total of 94!! Students will start school with confidence and a new look tomorrow. Words to express the feeling of meeting a child that will barley shake your hand and look at you go from that... to jumping out the chair to embrace you after they see themselves as beautiful/handsome is indescribable. It is my greatest reward to witness the salon come alive with laughter of children and inspiring words from volunteers to make them feel like Rockstars. SO many stories come out of our event every year..Meeting teen boys who take on the responsibility of looking after siblings/family...Young ladies that desperately need to know and hear they are beautiful..The feeling of community and team work together for one common goal.To make kids shine:) Im only addressing this because I have been asked every year by someone: Dont you think some of these people can pay for a haircut? Well sure and of course we want to help those that cant afford it....however maybe its children that familys can afford it but simply wont pay or..maybe some children dont have someone willing to wait on the service or take them at all. My point is its not about money...We never know what someones hardship is period. I LOVE that the teen volunteers get to serve others and that every walk of life comes through the door.The variety of colors, economic background and ages is what makes it so beautiful..My sincere love to all the volunteers today and fb friends that are always cheering Kimberly Clarke-Salon on it takes a village and Im a very small part of it all Big Thank you. 6th ANNUAL CUTS FOR CONFIDENCE ROCKED.
