A trip to the museum leads to some interesting nuggets that seem to want to be combined into SOMETHING. What, I couldnt say. But I find it interesting that the names and things I was attracted to all come from the same timeframe and the same geographic area, though I didnt realize it when I scribbled them in my notebook; I was just grabbing things that seemed or sounded interesting. Add in that theres a part of me thats wanted to do a horror western for some time and I suspect somethings about to go down on the Day of the Dead in 1860. And for some of those names and places - look them up, if youre of a mind, because theyre kind of interesting even if youre not planning to write a historical horror western: Numaga. Benito Juarez. John C. Fremont. Hart Lake, Oregon. Fort Churchill. The Devils Gate on the Comstock. Saiduka. .32 Knuckleduster pistols. Savage .36 revolver. Min Gei. Fort Churchill. Yes, this is what I do at 5 in the morning.
