A very close friend of mine was lamenting that his grandson was having a tough time at his state employment at Mendota Hospital. Apparently, the people he was caring for were transferred to another facility outside Dane County. This person has now been moved to care for the criminally insane. They receive no physical back-up support and this person, who is line to complete a one-year probation soon. is being pushed to fail in order to deny permanent status. I mentioned that he has a recourse to petition a grievance with the Personnel Commission. My friend, a steadfast, staunch Walker Republican, responded, to my jaw-dropping expression, He cant! He doesnt have a union! I guarantee that my friend will vote for Walkers reelection because he believes that the Republican Party of his parents and grandparents are the same as the party of today. This party of Governors Warren Knowles and Lee Dreyfus would have run them out quickstep. The Republican Party was born in Wisconsin with honor. The time has come to reclaim your Wisconsin party for your honor and your state.
