A very nifty reason why Facilities and Services is closing Stewart Street between Espina and Sweet this Wednesday, 7.10.13: We are installing a new steam-driven turbine. Instead of a conventional electric motor, waste steam drives the turbine, thus saving energy (hooray!). In the summer, the steam heat is vented into the atmosphere; now it will be able to run the engine that turns the compressor. Cool, huh (small pun ;-). Do FB posts get any better than this?? LOL. Ms. Breedlove...I need you baaaack!!!
