A very well attended breakfast bonanza this morning at Calgo Gardens. Our chamber and local business community continues to grow by the many news faces that come out each week. This week Deputy Mayor Nicastro shared Whats Happening in Howell with our members. A face lift is in the plans for the shopping center. where K-Mart once was. A Shop -Rite food store will be taking over the K-Mart area and possibly Hobby Lobby in the Pathmark space. The movie theater project is continuing its plan to make a home in Howell on Rt 9 North near the Suburban company. Not just any movie theatre...but an IMAX! This will bring many visitors to Howell and can only be a win win for the restaurants and other businesses in the area. The hotel project is expected to be heard for a final time on Nov 18 at the zoning board meeting. All are welcome to attend. The meeting will be held at the municipal building on Rt 9 at 730pm. Chamber member Sandy from Risco RV Service moved her business to Howell after it was displaced from Atlantic Highlands after the hurricane last year. Sandy gave a shout out to the township employees who went above and beyond in making the transition a smooth one. As members, it is important to give testimonials for one another which helps to grow our businesses, it is equally important to share a positive experience you have had with the township, whether it was in filing for a permit, an approval process, etc. It is important for other businesses interested in making Howell their home that we are OPEN for business.
