A visitor made this nice video about the farm. Note that even though Howling Woods Farm is a breed specific rescue for domestic-bred wolves, wolfdogs and northern breeds, an occasional doggie dog or two will end up needing rescue. Dogs labeled as wolfdogs by owners or animal control face the same dangers of being euthanized on shelters or being evicted in illegal areas as true wolfdogs. Its important for owners and professionals to not label dogs without proper experience identifying these special animals, especially since DNA tests are being placed under the microscope since the results are not as conclusive as hoped.
