A volunteer writes: With saucer-like eyes and a cute itty-bitty tail, Rivers is a pup thats simply hard to resist! Initially a bit shy, it takes only a few hesitant moments before he turns playful, dancing merrily around me as if performing an Irish jig. At the park, hes a terrific companion, trotting on with a certain jaunty air and being ever so easy on leash. And when we stop to rest, hes an absolute gentleman, staying quietly by my side as other dogs and children pass by us. While Rivers past is a mystery, his soft gleaming coat and nice nails suggest that he was a well-loved companion until recently. He takes care of business once outside, greets playfully other dogs passing by his play pen, and takes treats gently from my hand. Hell even sit nicely for treats, once he gets to know you. So if you have a big heart and a comfy place on your couch, give this little guy a new leash on life.
