A woman has been charged following a police pursuit in Kurrajong yesterday afternoon. About 3.45pm (Saturday 24 January 2015), police attempted to stop a black Holden Barina on Matheson Avenue, North Richmond. The driver allegedly failed to stop and a pursuit was commenced. During the pursuit police will allege that the driver mounted a gutter on Enfield Drive before driving on a nature strip, as well as exceeding the speed limit. Police pursued the car from North Richmond to Kurrajong, where the pursuit was terminated. Shortly after the pursuit was terminated, police stopped and arrested a 33-year-old North Richmond woman on Mills Road, Kurrajong. Police will allege she was the driver of the car. She was taken to Windsor Police Station where she was charged with police pursuit not stop drive recklessly (Skye’s law), dangerous driving, and drive whilst disqualified. She was refused bail and will appear at Parramatta Local Court today (Sunday 25 January 2015).
