AAP plans to do a Delhi in Varanasi. In what promises to be an eyeball grabbing poll campaign, the party will combine door-to-door visits with gupshup over chai along with a strong social media campaign that will stretch over a month after April 10. Door-to-door campaigning had proved to be the tipping point in AAPs Delhi campaign, especially in the New Delhi assembly constituency , where Kejriwal fought against former Delhi CM Sheila Dikshit. At the end of the campaign, while Dikshit appeared to be aloof and unconnected to the voter, AAP volunteers had visited each of the 30,000 homes thrice. The party plans to adopt a similar aam aadmi approach . Kejriwal will walk down the narrow bylanes, knock on peoples doors and take their questions. He can do what Modi cant ... be accessible to people who can question him, air their doubts and their disappointments, said a senior AAP leader. The slogan, Ab to Sheila hari hai, ab Modi ki bari hai (Sheila Dikshit has lost, now its Narendra Modis turn) will challenge Modis Har har Modi, har ghar Modi even as AAP readies to bombard people with evidence against Modis claims of development in Gujarat. A two-page fact-sheet includes details on gas pricing , problems faced by farmers due to land-grabbing by Gujarat government for major industrialists, allegations pertaining to Mukesh Ambanis Swiss bank accounts , Modis stance on FDI, the decline of small and medium industries and criticism of the media.
