ACE SCIENCE NEEDS A PUBLICIST! ACE Science has a problem: publicity! My wonderful kids are doing all manner of amazing scientific things these days - physics, genetics, rocketry, mathematics, microbiology, you name it! I am now convinced ACE Science is one of the premier school science education programs in Australia and have received independent feedback that theres nothing else like it in the country. But we cant get the word out to the public or even the school community on a regular basis. I need a parent or former student to work voluntarily as a publicist. This would mean taking photos during Science Tours (up to 12 a year), preparing PowerPoints for school assemblies and elsewhere, contacting local media, etc. Denis Lissogourski did a superb job on the recent AuSIS video, but we need much, much more coverage to showcase the extraordinary talent that is coming through. The goal is to attract longer term support so I can continue to provide for these kids. It is important work, particularly in the current environmental, political and economic situation Australia finds itself in. Can anyone out there help in the long term?
