ACTION ALERT: Some things are simply unimaginable,,, Yesterday’s front-page story in The New York Times, exposed ghoulish experiments on farm animals conducted at an obscure federal laboratory in rural Nebraska, is more evidence that the FEDERAL government is the nation’s biggest booster of factory farming Wayne Pacelle The Animal Welfare Act fails to protect animals for this agricultural research, BUT WOULD APPLY if these same animals were used in biomedical or other research. This is an unacceptable gap in the law.
