ADAM saves ADAM: THE FULL GOSPEL 2.4 Common Attributes of the Two Adams So far weve studied the history behind the PLAN OF SALVATION & known why it was necessary that Jesus took our place. We now focus our attention on the two Adams. We compare the SIMILARITIES of the two Adams. (a) Unlike us, both the Adams were SUPERNATURALLY CREATED--> the 1ST Adam was MIRACULOUSLY CREATED by God--He had NO EARTHLY PARENTS. The Last Adam (Jesus) was MIRACULOUSLY CREATED by God again--He had NO EARTHLY FATHER. (b) Both had a COMMON TITLE--> the SON OF GOD (Luke 1:35 & 3:38). (c) One the IMAGE OF GOD, the other the EXPRESS IMAGE OF GOD--> So God created man in His own image (Gen 1:27). And of Christ, who being the brightness of His glory and the express image of His person (Heb 1:3). (d) Both were the HEADS of the HUMAN RACE--One Natural, the other Spiritual-->There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body. And so it is written, The first man Adam became a living being. The last Adam became a life-giving spirit. (1 Cor 15:44,45). (e) One was created from the GROUND, the other RESURRECTED from the GROUND. (f) Both were REPRESENTATIVE men--their ACTS AFFECTED ALL PEOPLE--> Therefore, as through one mans offense judgment came to all men, resulting in condemnation, even so through one Mans righteous act the free gift came to all men, resulting in justification of life (Rom 5:18).
