ADVICE NEEDED for Special Mom #psnm00167 Please help! Have any of you ever dealt with a collapsed airway during fairly simple surgery? During our pre op physical yesterday our doc seemed concerned this happened during her last surgery at the same facility and said they may have given her too much anesthetic (and as my parents of kids with Down syndrome know, our children dont handle anesthesia as well as a typical kid). Her surgery is Monday. What do I need to say to her team? Any ideas as to why this may have happened?
