AFJMc is providing civil and structural design services for the North Louisiana Forensic Science Center in Shreveport, LA. This is a new state of the art 84,000 sq. ft. multi-level facility, with the majority of the structure being comprised of structural steel framing with composite floor systems. The 4-story lab structure consists of cast-in-place concrete columns, walls, beams and slabs, with auger-cast-in-place piles for foundations. The structural steel curtain wall system is designed to support exterior glass on all sides. The facility also includes a parking garage as well as a green roof. AFJMc utilized Revit Structure 3-D to model the facility and to produce contract documents. AFJMc is working with SMBB Architects on this project.
