AGAIN: OVER 5, 000 APC MEMBERS DECAMP TO PDP IN LAGOS !!!! It was a happy day for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Badagry Local Government area of Lagos when over 5,000 APC members decided to abandon the ship of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and join the PDP today, reports newswatch. There were about eight groups within the APC that defected in an elaborate ceremony at an open field beside the Federal Low Cost Housing Estates, Ibereko along the ever busy Lagos-Badagry Expressway. They include, Mobile Politicians 12 Units (a.k.a. Mopol 12) led by its leader, Chief Samuel Ofade. The Alani Ajose’s Group, the Baba Hassan Group and the Equal Rights Group. Others are the Ebuluu Group, Dr. Ola-Oki and Alhaji Quadri Group, the Waidi Ishola Hassan Group, the Hon. Akpata Group of Edo indigenes and the Ohanaeze South-East Group. On behalf of the groups, Alhaji Waidi Ishola Hassan, former APC chieftain and vice-chairman, BLG, gave reasons for their defection, which he listed as imposition, lack of internal democracy and transparency within the echelon of the APC. In his keynote address, Hon. Hunpatin while welcoming the new decampees said, the PDP remains the only formidable party in Nigeria without any ethnic, religious or personality complex.
