AHMED’S CONTINUITY AGENDA, AID TO KWARA’S DEVELOPMENT March 18, 2014 By: nureni The Kwara State Commissioner for Information and Communications, Prince Tunji Moronfoye, has described the continuity agenda of the government of Dr. Abdulfatah Ahmed as the best way to facilitate and continue development and progress in the state. He made the observation while featuring on a Radio Kwara (AM/FM) programme platform on Monday. The commissioner, who attributed the bountiful achievements and excellent performance of the government of Alhaji (Dr.) Abdulfatah Ahmed in all sectors of life and which have abundantly changed the texture of lives of the people of Kwara State to the continuity of the memorable and ground-breaking legacies left behind by the immediate former Governor of the state, Senator Bukola Saraki, decried a situation encouraging the succeeding government to scrap the projects initiated by its predecessor, stating that such act culminates in a socio-economic regression of the entire society. Congratulating the people of Share and Kwara State at large for the recent commissioning of the Share General Hospital, the commissioner described the project as one of the landmarks of Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed and praised the Kwara State Government for its commitment to the institutionalization of Primary Health Care, Secondary Health Scheme and Health Insurance programme across the state. Prince Tunji Moronfoye then condemned the “No-go-area” clause placed on the National Conference, arguing that such a condition will not allow the people of the heterogeneous ethnicities and diverse religious leanings to address their differences amicably. He recommended that the “no-go-area” zone should not be incorporated to give the people the opportunity to say what they want. While speaking on the unwavering efforts of the Kwara State government on road projects, the commissioner assured the people of many road projects that the state government will soon begin delivering. Moronfoye, who described Senator Bukola Saraki as the architect of modern Kwara applauded him for his initiative on agricultural innovation and revolution bringing socio-economic break-through for the state. While examining how the various financial anomalies could be solved, the commissioner called for a review of allocation to boost the performance of the various states in the country. The commissioner also condemned in its totality, the death of Immigration job seekers who died in stampedes all over the country and commiserated with their families. Prince Tunji Moronfoye expressed displeasure over how Nigeria’s leadership encourages competency to be sacrificed on the altar of politics, saying the removal of Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi as the Sports Minister will greatly affect Nigeria and described him as the best Sports Minister Nigeria has ever had.
