AIKKRA forms Khambu youth wing, committed for ST issue All India Kirati Khambu Rai Association (AIKKRA), an association was basically established to fight for Schedule Tribe status for Khambu Rais and upliftment of Khambu Rais community. AIKKRA has been pursuing its activities in Delhi for Schedule Tribe status for Khambu Rais as well as for other hills communities. Meanwhile, it has also been working on community development and its issues, supporting by social means and campaign for economic assistance for needy etc. In the process of achieving its objectives, AIKKRA is integrating the Khambu youths into one platform, thus, Kirati Khambu Rai Youth (KKRY) has taken its shape today in Kurseong. KKRY has formed an executive body comprising of 120 Khambu youths from different 40 constituencies of Darjeeling hills who were present today.
