ALERT: I just had this guy dressed in a white short sleeved shirt, tie, etc, looking like a businessman, knock on my door and tell me he needed to see my gas and electric bill. I asked why and he gave me a bunch of bull and I said that I was eating dinner right now.. He said he could wait, he was good at waiting... I said no you are not going to wait. He said hed be back after he went down my street. He was very rude and demanding. He flashed some kind of ID at the end of a chain on his neck. This was odd, so I told Ed to go up and down the road and see if he could see this guys car and get license plates. Ed wend everywhere and there WAS NO CAR!!! I called the police. Told them what was going on, and how odd that this guy did NOT have a company car and that he told me he was coming back and HE WOULD get my gas and electric bill. Ed checked and he was down the road talking to a neighbor. Note this is a dead end road so he was coming back. Ed said he was going to get the mail and he came right back and said, There is a policeman talking to a nice gentleman at the end of our driveway.. I said good! Ed looked out again about 5 mins later to see the policeman pulling off and no gentleman in sight. Im assuming they took him in. I just wanted to know if he was legit - didnt seem like it. Remember when they used to change your long distance carrier on your phone without your knowledge???? I think thats what this is, there is a code on your bill that they need to change it. This guy was probably a salesman, using this gimmick to change your carrier without your knowledge. Down the road youd be wondering what happened and he would have long ago got his commission. HA. It DID NOT HAPPEN THAT WAY TODAY!!!!
