Date of Walk: 21st October,2013 Time:3.30pm Starting Point:NETAJI STATUE in Red Road in Kolkata End Point: Calcutta Press Club After the MARCH: A Press Conference is scheduled to be addressed by Bose Family ISSUE OF THE MARCH To mark the historic proclamation of the Provisional Government of Free India by Netaji in Singapore in 1943.The aim of this event is to highlight the demand for the disclosure of secret files concerning Netaji that are being held by our Government. ISSUE OF THE PRESS CONFERENCE The Prime Ministers Office holds 33 secret files about Netaji; and there is much less need for the Intelligence Bureau to retain 77 of them. This is an insult to the memory of the man but for whom the colonial rule wouldnt have ended in India. Therefore, please do take out time from your busy schedule and come over to Netajis statue at Red Road a little before and be ready to walk some distance. The event has nothing to do with any political party, but everyone is welcome. There will be no lectures; we will just walk. At the press club Chandra Bose, spokesperson for Netajis family; Anuj Dhar, writer, and others will brief the media -- who would naturally want to speak with the other participants. The success of this peoples initiative depends on your participation.
