Today I participated in an act of peaceful civil disobedience to highlight the 890+ children in detention due to our governments current policies. Together with other clergy and church leaders we formed the Love Makes A Way Kooyong 7, praying and asking for a show of compassion. This was not taken on lightly but after much thought, prayer, and planing. It was not done to grandstand or for a gimmick but to draw attention to the needs of those vulnerable ones whose voices are not heard. This is I believe the call of my faith as a follower of Jesus. Yes we were arrested and released with possible charges to come. I am thankful to the many messages of support and encouragement today and am especially thankful to Amber Brady Ben and Michael for your time and standing in solidarity
