ALT @ LORDS, DAY 5 1. Wasim Akram told me a joke as he was handing over his mic to me. I ignored it. Screw banter, when Im performing I gotta be in my zone, Waz. 2. Recorded a segment of Raising The Finger with Harsha Bhogle today on the Lords outfield, after everyone had left. So, Harsha, do you think Cook should be dropped? Well, erm... *Cook walks straight past us* #Awkward 3. Dhonis captaincy really was fantastic today. We have criticized him plenty in away Tests, but he single-handedly changed things around today after Ishant conceded 14 runs against Joe Root in his first over of the day. 4. Rahul Dravids outfits are very hit and miss. Need to chat to him about this. 5. At the presentation, Mike Atherton said to Cook: Matt Prior looks at the end of his road... to which the whole crowd reacted: OOOOOOHHHH!!! SNAP-CRACKLE-BURRRRRRN! 6. So many people coming up to me and asking: Are you...*him*? Youre *him*, right? Im really enjoying meeting you all in person. And i will meet all of you. All. Of. You. 7. As Harsha and I were leaving the field, there were dozens of Indian fans waiting for either him or me, not really sure. You love the publicity at the start..., he said, as he manfully signed as many autographs as possible. As I waited for him to emerge from a crowd of about fifty, one man looked at me and said: Youre AltCricket, right? It was a nice juxtaposition :-) 8. I am pretty exhausted after back-to-back Tests, so can only imagine how tough it is for the players. Also means I have plenty more respect for writers who churn out top quality stuff EVERY SINGLE DAY. A monkey could write a match report - and many do - but it takes something special to do what the likes of George Dobell, Jarrod Kimber, Dileep Premachandran do. 9. Thanks to everyone for watching and sharing Raising the Finger. Its a totally unique opportunity. eg, as I asked an MCC member: Would it help if I were to be reincarnated as a rich, white man?...to get that sort of content onto a mainstream site (without any drama) is incredible.
