ALTAF HUSSIN, FOUNDER AND LEADER OF MUTTAHIDA QUAMI MOVEMENT (MQM) EXPRESSES SERIOUS CONCERNS OVER DETERIOTING POLITICAL SITUATION. London-21 August 2014 Mr Altaf Hussain, founder and leader of Muttahida Quami Movement expressing his serious concern over current deteriorating political situation has once again, appealed to the leaders and the associates of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PTI) and its allied parties to exercise patience and asked the government and the people at the helms of affair to exercise total restraint. Mr Hussain reiterating his appeal asked the leaders of PTI and PAT and to keep their protests totally peaceful, avoid using sharp and derogatory language or remarks and maintain parliamentary language in their speeches. He further added that everyone has a right to have difference of opinions but differences shall never be converted into animosity and shall bear in mind that the country does not only belong to the ruling party but also to the opposition as well and the parties staging the sit-in and those opposing the sit-in, in short, it belongs to all, and therefore, everyone is responsible for its stability and sustenance of the country. Mr Altaf Hussain compassionately appealed to the government not to use threatening attitude or force against those staging the Sit-in. He emphasised that all the issues should be resolved mutually through meaningful and dialogue should be initiated again without losing time and without hurting the self esteem and on the basis of give and take. Mr Hussain said that people of all section of the community including the state apparatuses are minutely monitoring the situation and therefore, he would like to ask those staging the Sit-in and the government to resolve the issues mutually through dialogue and reach a solution otherwise the State would be compelled to intervene for the stability and sustenance of the country.
