AN EVENT THAT TOOK PLACE ON THE 7 and ½ MILE WALK ON THE ROAD TO EMMAUS AFTER JESUS ROSE FROM THE DEAD. Luke 24:27And beginning at Moses and all the prophets, he expounded unto them in all the scriptures the things concerning himself. It caused their heart to burn within them. I know that through study we can uncover many of the places in Moses and all the prophets that Jesus must have focused on in what he said to these two disciples, but I would like to find a book that directly is drafted to cover what Jesus talked about. I know that these two disciples had walked until it was late in the day, and yet when their eyes were opened to understand who it was who had talked with them on that wonderful walk , they were so excited about it that they immediately walked back to tell the rest of the disciples. This means that they probably had a good deal of their walk in the dark. I would like to have been there when they got back to the rest of disciples. I wander if the rest of the disciples were all gathered together or if they had to go to several of the various houses of the disciples to get together. What a difference in the reasons that they got together in that day compared to the reasons that we get together today. One of these days in glory, Jesus is going to be the main reason that we get together. It seems that so many today who have chosen to be somewhere else when something is going on in church are going to be somewhat boored in that day, that is if they really are saved. Even though they are somewhat attending church, I kind of believe that there will be many to whom Jesus will say Depart from me, I never knew you.
