AN OPEN LETTER TO THE LABOUR PARTY I am disgusted that a majority of Labour Party politicians felt the need to vote for Mr Camerons war, shame on you and shame on all Labour politicians who supported Mr Cameron What happened to the Labour Party saying they had learnt the lessons of Iraq ?? What did that actually mean ?? Mr Miliband says that the situation is different to a year ago - how is it different ? Do bombs dropped on civilian areas not kill civilians any more ? Why was there no national debate on such an important issue ? Why do the Westminster political elite make more and more highly important unilateral decisions that affect all of us ? The lack of democracy in this country is appalling and Labour have to share a fair share of the responsibility for this Please can you tell me why the Labour leadership is still supporting fracking and why they continue to evade speaking about such a high profile issue that the government wants to force on millions of people in the UK !! This was just one aspect of what I thought was a highly disappointing Labour Party Conference That a Salford Labour Council let IGas in for exploratory drilling, just 4 miles from the site of the Labour Party Conference, during the winter is yet another stain on the Labour Party Please can you inform me of everything that is being done to influence the Labour leadership into supporting a fracking ban Hundreds of thousands of people marched on Sunday 21st September, including thousands in Manchester, to plead for politicians to take action on climate change, including banning fracking, even the Rockefellers are taking all their money out of fossil fuels !! So it is surely time for the Labour Party to have an official position, especially as the Labour Party should know how much trouble the fracking industry has already caused in Salford, including Labour Council sanctioned state violence, community disruption, reduction in house prices, and problems for local businesses and the environment Yours sincerely James Walsh
