ANC MEDIA ALERT: NEC, NEC LEKGOTLA & LIST CONFERENCE 22 JANUARY 2014 The National Executive Committee of the African National Congress will meet in its second normal, scheduled meeting of 2014 at St. Georges Hotel, Irene, Gauteng tomorrow, 24 January 2014. The NEC Meeting will be followed by the NEC Lekgotla and the National List Conference to be held over the weekend and Monday respectively. The NEC Lekgotla will be held over two days, Saturday 25th January and Sunday 26th January, and will review progress made on the objectives and priority areas of the current term of government as it comes to a close with the 5th General Elections later this year. The National List Conference will be attended the members of the NEC, the National List Committee and the Provincial Leadership and shall consolidate the African National Congress candidate list for the forthcoming 2014 General Elections following an intensive, thorough and robust process of engagement by the members and structures of the ANC. Members of media shall be informed of the dates and times of any briefings and photo opportunities to be scheduled during the course of the intense weekend programme.
