ANNOUNCEMENT: Bid Proposal For Marine Resources Building Renovation Project COLONIA, Yap (C&EM – PW&T/Media Division) — Yap State Government in the Federated States of Micronesia will be soliciting bid proposal to receive until 1:00 PM local time, April 10, 2014 for furnishing of all engineering works, labor, materials, and equipment necessary to complete the renovation works of the existing Marine Resources Management Division Laboratory-Workshop Building and Office Building under the Contract entitled “Marine Resources Building Renovation Project”. The project consists of demolition of exterior toilets, walls and partitions, roof and framing supports; removal of doors, windows, ceilings, plumbing fixtures, electrical fixtures, roof coatings and existing paint coatings; re-construction of new walls and partitions, roofing and framing supports, and ceilings; installation of new plumbing fixtures and accessories, electrical fixtures and accessories, countertops and cabinets, doors and door hardware, floor tiles and wall tiles; application of new roof waterproofing and paint coating; disposal of construction debris and clean-up. All bid proposals shall be placed in an opaque envelope addressed to: The Contracting Officer, Dept. of Public Works & Transportation, Yap State Government, Federated States of Micronesia, PO Box 327, Colonia, Yap 96943, Federated States of Micronesia, and be labeled “Proposal for Marine Resources Building Renovation Project” and shall incorporate the name and address of the bidder on the outside of the envelope. Proposals thus received will be publicly opened and read by the Contracting Officer at the Department of Public Works and Transportation, Yap State at 2:00 PM, on April 10, 2014. A Pre-Bid Conference will be held at the Contracts & Engineering Management Division Office, Department of Public Works & Transportation on March 13, 2014 at 9:30 AM. Attendance is highly recommended. Copies of the Bid Documents may be obtained only from the Contracting Officer, Yap State Department of Public Works & Transportation, upon a payment of USD $30.00. Make checks payable to Yap State Treasury, Yap State Government.
