ANNOUNCEMENT: OKO Polytechnic Pulls out (where ASUP National Chairman Lectures) The Academic Board of Federal Polytechnic Oko this evening withdrew from the ongoing national Strike of ASUP. Arising from the emergency meeting the Academic Board said while in support of the agitation of the unions, it has put the fate of students into consideration, adding that the Withdrawal from the strike was to enable students write the second semester examinations and be at par with other students of other institutions. Dr. Nsionu Ifeanyi who addressed reporters immediately after the meeting praised the efforts of ASUP in putting up a good fight noting that their withdrawal was not to dissuade the union from the struggle but was in consideration of the students who have wasted a lot of time at home. He said the management will announce the modalities for the examination which will commence immediately. What is Fedpoly Bauchi waiting for?
