BREAKING NEWS REPORTED BY NAIJ.COM READER Olusegun Dosunmu: This is to alert the people of Edo State and the general public that a big white tanker full of petrol has fallen off Benin-Auchi-Abuja road, thereby spilling oil everywhere. It fell into a ditch along Auchi, before Aviele, driving from Benin to Abuja. It is now more disastrous to see villagers going near the scene to scoop the free-flowing oil, right before Dantata & Sawoe road contractor officials patching some dilapidated parts. Both men and women were spotted rushing down to the scene to take part of the blessing that could turn out to be their doom! I saw them making phone calls, beckoning on their fellows to come very fast and there were kegs-laden okadas rushing down there as well. The use of mobile phones could trigger a massive fire outbreak that could be on our screens and newspaper headlines soonest!
