ARE YOU READY?? Yesterday I learned that a friend, a great networker passed away. Same happened to the mother of one of our church elders. These are certain sad events in our lives as all of us will die. But it is uncertain as to when it will happen. Are you ready for that eventuality? The Bible said in Hebrews 9:27-28, “Just as people are destined to die once, and after that to face judgment, so Christ was sacrificed once to take away the sins of many; and he will appear a second time, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who are waiting for him.” We are all sinners and fall short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23). Hence, we are all bound to eternal damnation. But Jesus Christ sacrificed on the cross and died for our sins, so that we may have the right to eternal life. Jesus Christ is the way, the truth and the life (John 14:6). Are you ready to receive Jesus Christ in your life – as your Savior and Lord? Then recognize that you are a sinner, repent of your sins and have faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. Say this prayer or say a prayer of repentance and acceptance similar to this; “Lord Jesus, I thank You for the free gift of eternal life. I accept I’m a sinner and do not deserve eternal life. But You loved me so much so You died on the cross and paid for my sins. I repent of my sins. I now trust in You alone for eternal life. Take hold of me and be the driver of my life. Thank you so much!” Having prayed this, you now have eternal life and earned the right to become one of the children of God. “Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God.” (John 1:12) God bless you!
