ASSISTANT MANAGER, PRODUCTION OPERATIONS - Womens Polo Accessories Polo Ralph Lauren Corporation is a leader in the design, marketing and distribution of premium lifestyle products in four categories: apparel, home, accessories and fragrances. Key Responsibilities: • Report to Director of production ops. • Manage/communicate capacity availability relative to Bi Weekly or monthly buys. • Work with customer partners, participate in buy meetings and gathering of calendarized demand from customer base and provision of minimums information. • Work with Manager and customers for execution of “off cycle” buys. • Provide feedback to external customers to fine tune and finalize buys. • Work with Manager, Product Development, Offices, Agents and Direct Factories to • Manage production material tack on or coordination activities with other departments for shared materials. • Execute Purchase Orders in system. • Incorporate development status where it impacts/relates to production execution and timing. • Perform pre-production sample checks in coordination with Product Development • Navigate and negotiate; delivery issues, shortages/overages. • Update Purchase Orders and update communication. • Accelerate or decelerate production based on dynamic demand and inventory needs. • Raise, participate in resolution of technical issues such as ticketing, EDI etc. • Work with Logistics as part of delivery management. • Update system regularly with any required changes. • Provide regular reporting as required by Manager/external parties including but not limited to Delivery reporting and Supply/Demand analysis. • Work with Customer Service to resolve any issues. • Maintain system for any cancellations, purchase order closures or split deliveries. • Regular reporting including WIP tracking (all levels) costing, system management. • Prioritizing work and task completion to meet all calendar and production specific deadlines. • Assist in gathering pre-class product definition and materials. • Daily Communication and follow up with internal and external parties. Follow up on deliveries • Work with overseas offices for production related functions • Generate and maintain PO’s for all vendors. • Work with quality, logistic and custom compliance teams. • Work with trim and labels supplier. • Assist with costing and delivery updates. • Monitor and confirm production charts and WIP reports weekly, address any call outs and concerns. • Assist Production Manager in daily needs and projects. QUALIFICATIONS: • 2 years experience in accessories product development or production • Knowledge of leathers, fabrics, accessories construction. • Must be self- motivated. • Excellent attention to details and strong organizational skills. • Good communication skills, including e-mail. • Computer Knowledge.
