ATLANTA friends. Ive emailed some of you already but because there is still zero resolve I am putting this out on FB in hopes that YOU may know something or can share with your friends IN ATLANTA who are familiar. I have a dear friend who needs to find a place for someone to stay in the Atlanta area (preferably near Emory Hospital) while their child undergoes bone marrow transplant and recovery over the next THREE MONTHS. This is a married couple who will be going back and forth from the east coast to Emory taking turns. This is exhausting emotionally, physically AND financially on this couple. The hospital DOES have a place available BUT it is more like a first come first serve- everyone sleeps in same dorm on cots on floor They would prefer a small apartment or hotel room type efficiency in a safe area... THEY CAN PAY but not a years lease! I am sick to my stomach thinking of all the amazing CHURCHES in Atlanta and yet these folks at one of the worst things a parent has to watch their child go through can find nothing but a cot on the floor or an expensive hotel? Yea Im just smh. CERTAINLY someone must know of something or someone who has a basement apartment with no guests currently in it or something. Please feel free to post here or inbox me.
