ATTENTION ALL PHYSICS STUDENTS: we need you! (actually we just want any fun-loving, difference-making people, but this ad is specialized to YOU!) Global Brigades is the worlds largest student-led (you are a student) health and sustainability organization,and we have a chapter right here at Dal (you also go to Dal). Were looking for interested students to come on our next water brigade to Honduras (this could and should be you), as well as to be involved with our society on campus. Our brigade will be from August 16th to August 25th, 2015. The brigade will help build infrastructure (building involves physics) to prevent water-related illnesses in communities with limited access to clean water. Volunteers work alongside community members to construct the water system and provide education (all physicists love education) to share the knowledge of proper water use, and sanitation and hygiene practices (some physicists I know could benefit from this knowledge too...just kidding.. sorta.). This is an amazing opportunity to apply your education, intellect and creativity (physicists are educated, smart and creative. and also good looking but I guess we forgot to mention that) to help empower a community. Its also a chance to have an amazing adventure with your friends from Dal (RE: chance to escape the DUNNgeon). The change you make in peoples lives is real and the people you will meet will thrive because of your leadership!
